have you tested how it is now with SP4 ?

Hi,

Thanks for replying. No better with sp4, and perhaps even worse. It is a heavy milky dark tint. When I tried to apply the 747 solution by renaming the texture fix to fit the 767, that was a no-go also. Does anyone know how to clear these windows up so at least they look relatively normal? Why does a fix work on the 747 but one is not available for the 767 after all this time? Any ideas?

Thanks.

My hardware is as follows:

i7-2600K CPU @ 5.0Ghz, ASUS P8P67-B3 Deluxe MB, Zotac 580 GTX OC @ 900Mhz, 8g Mushkin Redline 1600mhz DDR3 @ 6-8-6-24, Corsair Modular 850w PSU, 2 x G.Skill 120g SSDs, 640g, 500g & 1000g HDs, Fatal1ty X-Fi Xtreme Audio/ Bose sound, W7-64 Home, TR5 Pro, 40 inch LCD, Saitek yoke, pedals and stick, CM HAF 942 case

Kind regards,
Kind regards,
Stephen

hmm, that is strange.

I have attached a replacement texture for you, put it in your CLS_767_textures folder (it is in the airplanes folder)

Attached Files

I have replaced the textures without apparent change. Here are screen captures that depict what I see. What can not be illustrated is how great the change is when looking out the windows between clear and the dark and milky 767 window tint. In game play it is quite overwhelmingly dark and dismal.

This is how it should look. Out the window of the CLS 747 (With the 747 tint fix referred to earlier in this thread)

I hope this helps to identify the problem and provide a solution.

Thank you.

Hi Gilbert,

I tried out each repaint and all models (767-200, 767-300 and freighter) and each was exactly the same. I think that in the 767 the tint must be picked up by another texture than just the one you sent as a replacement. By the way when I installed your texture it did overwrite the one that was there, so it was installed correctly.

Stephen

Hi Stephen, thanks for your report.

I now know why it won´t help if you change the textures, the transparency is set in the model, the only way to reduce this would be to recompile the models but I think this is not going to happen so soon if at all.
I never really noticed the tint unless I saw your images yesterday, I always thought it is a problem only at night, this was just overlooked, sorry.

Thank you Gilbert,

I hope that CLS will decide to recompile the software as required to fix the problem. It is never the best option to consider a product good enough, when it can be made much better.
