Those with problems with the VC night lighting, could you please tell me what FSX version you are using, SP2 or Acceleration ?

And another thing, please make sure that the following is checked in the settings of FSX

otherwise, the instruments will stay dark !

Please tell me your settings and/or if this helps !

Video URL As promised, hope it helps, if not more i can provide by you consent to further investigate the nature of the problem for this beautiful bird when flying @ night.

ok, can you please try the following, look into the repaint folder of the plane that does not work

(in this case, it would be CLS_763_GE\texture.5X for the UPS repaint)

and remove the files (move them to somewhere else or rename them)

vc_01_l.bmp
vc_02_l.bmp
vc_03_l.bmp

and tell me what you get

By removing those three textures from the UPS texture folder, Nothing has happened signficantly. The VC cabin lights still are remained off when the Taxi/ Landing lights are off, note they VC lights are only on when the Landing lights are on, and when the Taxi lights are on, (and we know we cant fly with those on @ cruise) :). I do believe that there should be some cabin lights for this bird even the other model 300ER, 200ER as well this Cargo :) Here is a video of the UPS aircraft with those textures removed.

thanks for your help Gilbert

but as I can see, the instruments lighting now works.

To fix the remaining problem, have a look here

http://www.commercia...?showtopic=9436

the effect for the VC lighting is missing, the light you see is an unwanted effect coming from outside from the taxi light.

Make sure that you edit the aircraft.cfg exactly as shown and be sure to place the attached effect file in the correct folder.

Hope you have a wonderful new Year! and a great 2011 ahead. See you in 2011! Wish your team the best for me ;).

Cheers!
